This archival, limited-edition, fine-art pigment print depicts the 1984 Ferrari 288 GTO.
The Ferrari 288 GTO was homologated, and thoroughly upgraded version, of the Ferrari 308 GTB. It featured a 2.9-liter, twin-turbo V8 producing 395 hp, and is, from what I've heard, pure bliss to drive. I also think it's one of the most visually stunning Ferraris ever made. I spotted one on a trip to Berlin as a teenager in 1986 and the sight of it's flared fenders, low-slung headlights, and elevated side mirrors is forever etched in my memory.
Only one or two of these are exist in yellow. And, from what I've read, none of the 272 production cars left the factory in that color. Apparently there was one prototype in yellow and one production car was later repainted in yellow. I just think the car looks great in that color and I'm so happy with the way this print turned out.
